Abstract
In this paper we use the context of mathematics with young learners to suggest that video may provide a powerful means for giving us a window on the learning that is taking place. More importantly, however, we conjecture that the approach of children viewing themselves and their peers on video may be used to help the students reflect on their own thinking, and the thinking of their peers. Relevant vignettes from the videos are presented.
