The editors of the Waikato Journal of Education invite contributions to a special issue in June 2018 looking at digital learning in a range of educational contexts with a focus on current and future developments around pedagogy and practice. The special issue is guest-edited by Dr Dianne Forbes who welcomes contributions from experienced and emerging authors.

  • Emerging methodologies in digital research in education;
  • Student projects in a digital space;
  • New terminology and conceptual underpinnings;
  • Cross-sector uses of digital technologies (early childhood, primary, secondary, tertiary, adult and community education);
  • Informal learning across the lifespan;
  • Cross-cultural uses of digital technologies and culturally responsive digital learning;

We are looking for papers likely to provide useful insights into digital learning for a wide readership including tertiary students, teachers and researchers.
